THE WELDERS

The Welders is a DC-based playwrights’ collective whose mission is to establish an evolving, alternative platform for play development and production which I co-founded in 2012 with Renee Calarco, Ally Currin, Caleen Sinnette Jennings, Jojo Ruf, and Gwydion Suilebhan. After producing one play by each founding playwright, and winning a Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding New Theater Company, the organization was passed to a new generation of artists. In 2019, Welders 2.0 did the same after completing their series of productions. Welders 3.0 is in its first year of production.
